Ministry of Environment Protection and Regional Development approves regulations introducing one-hour ticket in Riga pubic transport
The Ministry of Environment Protection and Regional Development has approved binding regulations of Riga City Council which introduce one-hour tickets in Riga public transport for holders of ”Riga resident’s card”.
“As of July 1 Riga residents will have a new additional opportunity – with a “Riga resident’s card” they will be able to buy a one-hour ticket for 1.15 euros”, Riga Mayor Nils Ušakovs said. “For 1.15 euros, a public transport passengers can make an unlimited number of transfers. Even more, after the last transfer, however made in the 59th minute, they can still go to the terminal.”
N.Ušakovs also thanks the ministry for its amendments and proposals, which will be taken into consideration in the nearest future.
